Litecoin LTC deposits vs Bitcoin - faster confirmation times worth the limited casino options

Been testing Litecoin deposits at the few crypto casinos that accept it. LTC confirms in 2.5 minutes average vs Bitcoin's 10+ minutes lately. Wild Casino and BetWhale both accept LTC with $25 minimums.

The speed difference is noticeable - my last LTC deposit at Wild Casino was credited in under 5 minutes total. Compare that to my Bitcoin deposit at Ignition Casino last week that took 23 minutes for first confirmation.

Trade-off is casino selection. Most sites still Bitcoin-only. Anyone else using LTC regularly or sticking with BTC for the wider acceptance?

Tried LTC twice at BetWhale but went back to Bitcoin. Sure, confirmation is faster but network fees barely different - saved maybe 30 cents per deposit. Not worth limiting myself to 2-3 casinos when I can use BTC everywhere.

Plus my exchange charges same fee converting USD to either coin. The 5-10 minute time savings isn't worth losing access to Ignition Casino, Cafe Casino, and others that don't take LTC.

LTC makes sense if you're already holding it. I mine some Litecoin as a hobby so using it directly at Wild Casino saves me exchange fees. The confirmation speed is definitely better - never waited more than 8 minutes for a deposit to show up.

But if you're buying crypto specifically for gambling, Bitcoin still wins on casino selection. Most of the RTG casinos I play at are BTC-only.

Speed difference matters more for withdrawals than deposits honestly. When I'm cashing out a big win, waiting 45+ minutes for Bitcoin confirmation gets stressful. LTC withdrawals at BetWhale averaged 12 minutes in my experience.

Downside is BetWhale's game selection isn't as strong as Ignition Casino or Super Slots. So I end up using BTC at my preferred sites anyway.

The confirmation speed advantage disappears during network congestion. Had an LTC deposit take 18 minutes during a busy Saturday at Wild Casino. Bitcoin was actually faster that day at Cafe Casino.

Real benefit is lower volatility risk during the deposit window. LTC price doesn't swing as wildly as Bitcoin, so the amount credited matches what you sent more consistently.

Good points on volatility and network congestion. Been tracking both for 6 months now - LTC averages 4.2 minutes confirmation vs BTC at 11.7 minutes across my deposits.

Might stick with LTC for smaller deposits under $200 where speed matters, Bitcoin for larger amounts where I want maximum casino choice. Best of both worlds approach.
