Bitcoin mining pool payouts affecting casino deposit timing - blocks taking 15+ minutes lately

Been tracking Bitcoin block times this week and seeing consistent 15-20 minute intervals instead of the usual 10 minutes. My Ignition Casino deposit yesterday took 45 minutes for first confirmation instead of the typical 15-20.

Checked mempool.space and difficulty adjustment happened 3 days ago but hashrate dropped about 8% since then. Pool payouts from major miners seem to be creating congestion during peak hours.

Anyone else noticing slower deposit confirmations at crypto casinos this week? Wondering if sites will adjust their confirmation requirements or if this is temporary until hashrate recovers.

Definitely seeing this at BetOnline too. My usual Saturday night deposit took almost an hour for 3 confirmations instead of 30 minutes. Transaction fee was standard $2.50 so wasn't a priority issue.

Texas heat wave knocked out some mining operations according to local news. Probably contributing to the hashrate drop you mentioned.

Super Slots processed my Bitcoin deposit normally yesterday - took about 25 minutes for required confirmations. Maybe depends on which pools the sites monitor?

I've been using RBF (replace-by-fee) transactions when block times get wonky. Lets you bump the fee if things get stuck. Most casino deposits accept RBF now.

This is why I switched to Litecoin for smaller deposits under $200. Block time stays consistent at 2.5 minutes even when Bitcoin gets congested.

Wild Casino and Cafe Casino both accept LTC with same 3 confirmation requirement as Bitcoin. Usually means 7-8 minutes total vs waiting 30+ for BTC confirmations during network congestion.

Noticed the same thing at Lucky Creek this morning. What's interesting is their deposit page still shows "15-20 minutes typical" but reality has been double that.

Mining difficulty adjustments happen every 2016 blocks (roughly 2 weeks). If hashrate stays low, next adjustment should bring block times back to 10 minutes. Usually takes 1-2 weeks to normalize after major miners go offline.

Update: Just checked blockchain.info and average block time over last 24 hours is 13.2 minutes. Improvement from yesterday's 16+ minute average.

Hashrate recovery seems to be happening as Texas mining operations come back online. Should see normal 10-minute blocks within a few days if trend continues. Good reminder to always check mempool status before making time-sensitive deposits.
